NSS-GEHU Volunteers Promote Menstrual Awareness and Distribute Sanitary Pads

In a powerful initiative, 15 NSS-GEHU volunteers conducted educational sessions on menstrual awareness at Rajkiya Prathmik Vidyalaya in Chandrabani. Under campaigns "A Pad for My Sister" and "Disha," they demystified the menstrual cycle, addressed concerns, and distributed sanitary napkins, emphasizing the importance of menstrual hygiene and combating period poverty.

In a commendable display of social commitment and an unwavering dedication to empowering women, 15 volunteers from NSS-Graphic Era Hill University embarked on a mission under their ongoing campaigns, "A Pad for My Sister" and "Disha." Their destination: Rajkiya Prathmik Vidyalaya in Chandrabani, where they aimed to raise awareness about the menstrual cycle and provide a crucial service to the students.

The volunteers took center stage at the school, delivering informative sessions that demystified the menstrual cycle and emphasized the importance of hygiene and care during this crucial time in a woman's life. They addressed questions, concerns, and myths related to menstruation, ensuring that the young students gained a better understanding of this natural process.

In addition to education, the volunteers also conducted a sanitary napkin distribution, ensuring that the students had access to essential hygiene products. This act not only provided much-needed support to these young girls but also sent a powerful message about the importance of promoting menstrual hygiene and eradicating period poverty.
