Clothes Giving
The clothes giving drive is one such activity that embodies our values of compassion and community service. Through this initiative, we aim to provide essential clothing to those in need and make a significant impact on their well-being.
The work of volunteers typically involves:
- Collection and Sorting: Our clothing donation drive kicks off with an enthusiastic collection effort. We encourage our college students, faculty, and staff to generously donate clothing items. These donated items are then sorted meticulously to ensure that they are clean, in good condition, and suitable for distribution.
- Collaboration with Local Organizations: We collaborate with local charitable organizations, shelters, and NGOs like Parivartan and Goonj that are well-versed in the needs of the underprivileged. This partnership ensures that the donated clothing reaches those who need it the most and that it is distributed effectively.
- Distribution Events: We organize distribution events where the collected clothing is distributed directly to individuals and families in underserved communities.
- Sustainability and Recycling: In line with our commitment to environmental responsibility, we promote recycling and sustainable practices in our clothing drive. We encourage people to donate used but well-preserved clothing, reducing waste and promoting the responsible use of resources.
- Periodic Drives: Our clothes giving drive is not a one-time effort. We conduct periodic drives throughout the year, ensuring a consistent and ongoing supply of clothing to those in need.
Our Clothes Giving Drives have reached various places in Dehradun such as Premnagar Slums, Krishnanagar, Clement Town, near ISBT Slums and many more.
